On the morning of December 15th, East Woods School's stage transformed into the streets of Agrabah where the 5th Grade, under the brilliant direction and choreography of Margaret Corbett, presented a charming version of Disney's Aladdin Jr.

Drawing inspiration from the 1992 Walt Disney Animation Studios film, the young cast flawlessly brought to life the timeless tale of Aladdin and his three friends – Babkak, Omar, and Kassim. Their on-stage chemistry injected the performance with infectious energy, captivating the audience from the very beginning.

The narrative unfolded as Aladdin stumbled upon the magic lamp, introducing the audience to the charismatic Genie. A show-stealer, Genie's portrayal by one of the talented young performers left an unforgettable mark and an impressive display of theatrical skills.

The musical journey was a delightful rendition of Disney's classic tunes, flawlessly performed by the young cast. From the lively "Arabian Nights" to the moving "Proud of Your Boy" and the show-stopping "Friend Like Me," each song added a layer of magic to the performance, highlighting the dedication and hard work put in during rehearsals. However, the rendition of "A Whole New World" truly stole the hearts of the audience. The timeless song, performed with heartfelt emotion, created a magical moment that transported everyone on a whimsical carpet ride.

Margaret Corbett's direction and choreography were evident in the seamless transitions, well-coordinated dance routines, and attention to detail, elevating the production to a professional standard. The outstanding performance illuminated the stage and created memories cherished by all who attended.
